Hi there! My name is Grayden and I'm a math and music tutor based in Virginia.
Math and music - We rarely think of them together, but they are natural companions. While there are some rigid rules for each, the ways we can compute and compose them are endless. Both disciplines can be used to solve simple problems or create something beautifully complex - you just need to understand the harmony between them. That’s why I opened Brox Math and Music. Through years of training and teaching, I came to understand these similarities and how, when combined, they made me a better mathematician and musician. I'm here to help students excel in either discipline, or both!
Brox Math and Music aims to shift students’ perspectives. I teach and reinforce math and music’s “rules” while also sharing what’s under the surface: clever tricks, unique harmonies, all the “extras” often missed in school or online. The goal? For students to conquer more difficult objectives on their own with a firm understanding of the rules and the creative thinking skills to play with them.
